Insurance - Property/Building
Inspection
YRfree technology offers the Insurance industry the opportunity
to make considerable cost savings.
A typical property claim, say for flood damage caused by a burst
pipe, currently requires at least one visit from a contractor and a
visit from a loss adjustor/building inspector. The miles travelled
and time taken, preparing written reports etc, before any work can
begin, are considerable. Then if there are any amendments to the
schedule of work or additional work is required, the whole process
starts again.
With YRfree technology the contractor, or any appointed
representative of the insurer, can stream live video, direct from
the scene, to a qualified assessor based at a central location. The
video is tagged with data, which can be compared with a database of
pre-defined costs, to enable an instant quotation to be prepared.
Any questions the assessor may have can be discussed with the
representative on site and an on the spot decision can be made as
to whether or not work can begin.
The contractor has the ability to call in various levels of
expertise and can stream live video to the insurer for staged
approval and for approval of any variations to the job.
Once the work has been completed, the contractor can stream a
video from the scene, with the policy holder present, to get final
approval for the job to be signed off; without the need for any
further site visits.
This means that more claims can be assessed in a day, with less
miles travelled, expensive resources like skilled loss adjustors
can be office based, some time consuming pen and paper tasks can be
eliminated and costs can be controlled more strictly.
The live video streams and any supporting documentation can be
stored in your existing claims management system. A full audit
trail can be produced for each claim and any relevant data can be
extracted to further streamline the workflow process.
