Emergency Services
YRfree technology offers the emergency services the opportunity
to introduce improved Command and Control procedures and develop
more effective workflow solutions.
The ability to see video live from the scene, enables officers
to make informed decisions on the most appropriate response -
taking into account health and safety issues, the allocation of
resources and assessing when an incident needs escalating to a
higher level. Managers can collaborate with officers on the ground
to request a different view of the incident and liase with
specialists off site, when additional technical expertise is
required. Any decisions made can be swiftly communicated and
recorded.
A complete audit trail, of the visual/audio data received and
the decisions taken, can be produced after the incident. This can
be saved for future reference and "compliance tracking".
YRfree technology also offers the opportunity to improve working
methods. For example, live video of the scene can be streamed to
other teams on their way to an incident, along with a visual
report taken during the Site Survey, identifying risks and
logging hazards, so that they are fully briefed on their
arrival.
Video records of assets, like tenders and hydrants, can be made
prior to, during and after an incident, to identify where
maintenance costs and third party claims can be reduced.
Thanks to its sophisticated "Live Object" Recognition software,
the YRfree Platform also enables officers to verify critical data
like a barcode or number plate. The Automatic Number Plate
Recognition (ANPR) facility is a Certified System with the UK Home
Office and conforms to BoF2 Standards.
